THE BEGINNING
For eight years Anna formulated for other brands. Every brief asked for a scent, a glow, a feeling on the skin. Every complaint that came back said the same thing: it stung. The two piles never met, because the people writing briefs and the people reading complaints sat in different rooms.
HOW WE FORMULATE
Every formula starts as the shortest list that could work, then adds one ingredient at a time, only when a trial shows the difference. Average count across the range:14.
No product gets a name until 40 people with reactive skin have used it for four weeks. If more than 5% report stinging, it goes back to the bench.
Results go on the product page unedited. The 8% who saw no change from Barrier Serum are on the page next to the 92% who did.
Every bottle carries the batch it came from. A complaint can be traced to a day, a bench and a person. That person is usually Anna.

Refill, not recycle
Recycling glass costs more energy than most people think, so we stopped asking you to. Buy the bottle once. Every refill after that comes in a pouch that weighs 11 grams.
